Carter, DeLuca & Farrell, an intellectual property law firm based in Melville, has opened a satellite office in the Dallas metropolitan area.
With this new office, the law firm aims to offer its current and new clients “better face to face access” to the firm’s legal advisors with regards to “innovative and burgeoning technologies,” according to a press release from the firm.
Founded in 2002, the firm specializes in strategic portfolio developing. The new office will enable the firm to add more attorneys and support staff in a region where the tech sector is growing.
The firm already has an office in Alexandria, VA, near the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office headquarters.
Edward Meagher, a partner at the firm, will lead the practice in Texas.
He said in a statement that metropolitan Dallas is seeing an “explosive growth in high tech jobs and R&D,” making the Texas office a “logical next step” for the firm.
