Capital One has announced new co-branded credit cards for a family of seven retailers, including the Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn brands. The cards offer big rewards on spending with those retailers, as well as impressive reward rates on spending at grocery stores and restaurants.

Together, the loyalty rewards fall under The Key Rewards Credit Card Program. The $0 annual fee Visa credit cards will carry the name of one of four main retailers owned by Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Those brands are:

  • Williams Sonoma (including Williams Sonoma Home).

  • Pottery Barn (including Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen).

The Key Rewards Credit Card Program offers unlimited ongoing rewards of:

  • 5% at Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Mark & Graham and their related stores.

  • 4% at grocery stores. (Groceries at gas stations, convenience stores, warehouse clubs, discount stores and superstores don’t qualify; those earn 1%.)

  • 4% at restaurants, excluding fast-food restaurants, but including food delivery services.

Welcome bonus: New cardholders receive an additional 5% in rewards on purchases at Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Mark & Graham for the first 30 days, for a total of 10% back.

Rewards can be earned on purchases made with the card in-store or online.

Redeeming rewards

Rewards are issued in the form of $20 certificates for future use in those Williams-Sonoma Inc.-branded retailers.

Rewards balances that do not meet the $20 reward-certificate threshold expire after 24 months of no activity (meaning the earning or redeeming of rewards) on the rewards account.

Additional perks

  • 12-month promotional financing on purchases of $750 or more. Rewards are not earned on promotional financing purchases.

  • Free standard shipping at Williams Sonoma.

  • Early access to promotions.

  • Sneak peeks of new collections.

  • Cross-brand design services with Design Crew, including free consultation with design experts.

Four additional store cards

The four branded Visa credit cards require excellent credit.

If you don’t qualify for the credit cards, you’ll be automatically considered for private-label “closed-loop” versions, meaning they can be used only at those retailers. These cards don’t come with additional rewards on groceries and restaurants, but they retain the $0 annual fee and 5% rewards on Williams Sonoma Inc. purchases.

Eligible Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn and West Elm cardholders from prior credit card programs have automatically migrated to the new program, the companies said.
